photography, acrylic, mixed media and paper on canvas, 24 x 24

A photograph of bright orange thermophilic, "heat loving," bacteria found in Yellowstone National Park is transferred to canvas then layered with strips of abaca paper forms (by Leah Aegerter) and paint resembling the turquoise, greens and blues found in oxidized copper.

This painting is on display, and available for purchase, in the exhibition "INTERDEPENDENCE" at SeeSaw Art Gallery in Englewood, Colorado.
